Discover Graduate School at Pitt: April 2-4, 2020
The University of Pittsburgh annually sponsors a trip to campus for underrepresented juniors and seniors who have not previously visited, so they may learn more about graduate programs at the Swanson School of Engineering.
Hosted by the Swanson School’s Office of Diversity, the visit gives students a glimpse of graduate programs at one of the nation’s leading research institutions. Students will have an opportunity to tour the campus and meet department faculty and graduate students. They will spend the afternoon with departments of their choice in a variety of engineering disciplines, including:
Bioengineering
Chemical and Petroleum
Civil and Environmental
Electrical and Computer
Industrial
Mechanical and Materials Science
The Discover program includes transportation to and from the University of Pittsburgh, meals, a dinner reception, and overnight accommodations.
Requirements for acceptance to Discover Graduate School at Pitt:
GPA of 3.3 or higher
Juniors who will be seniors in fall 2020
Seniors who have not had prior visit
Completion of an application and letter of recommendation from a faculty member
Submission deadline: Wednesday, March 5th 2020
